Who is Ric Lucia ?
Ric Lucia is a country music artist who's gained recognition for his traditional country sound and storytelling. He's a lifelong resident of Schenectady County, New York, and has a background in business, having built a construction company and a trucking business. Lucia's music is inspired by his working-class upbringing and the people he meets, often focusing on themes of everyday heroes and love.

THE RIC LUCIA STORY
Ric Lucia, Rain Man, old style country music. Ric’s lyrics exude raw emotion with a gentle hand.  His lyrics are truths, that have spun around in his heart and soul for a lifetime.  His latest hit, The Music Still Lives in His Heart, explains his music, past and present and presages a far off eternity. 
Ric grew up in upstate New York, working with his brother for his Dad’s excavation business.  They worked hard, money was tight, they lived a simple life.   His father grew up on a farm and had 12 siblings so there were always plenty of aunts and uncles around.   Ric has an old fiddle and a banjo that his Dad and some Uncles played when they would get together.  Willie Nelson, Patsey Cline, Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings, Kitty Wells, Pharon Young, Johnny Cash, and Chris Ledoux influence Ric’s music.  Playing 45’s and albums, all vinyl of course, was cheap nightly entertainment.  Pure, old style country without the glitz.  
Ric raced cars for several years and went on to drive a truck.  He spent many days and weeks alone in the cab of his truck.  With all the quiet time, zigzagging back and forth across the county, the music continued to spin in his head.  He just never took the time to write it down.  Eventually he had enough of the road and started his own trucking company and warehouse business.  It was time to settle down.  He married the love of his life and they had three children.  As the trucking and warehouse grew, Ric took over the local Speedway.  He wasn’t racing any more, but loved being around the excitement of it.  Time rolled on by, there were graduations and weddings and grandkids.  Ric’s love for his family and the trials and tribulations of his life experiences have a significant influence on his music.  “Take the Good With the Bad,” “Sittin’ With Grandma on the Front Porch” and “If I Could be a Hobo” are deeply rooted in his sentiments.
Within the last eight months, Ric has finally written down over 25 songs.  “Rain Man” was Ric’s first release, it went Gold then Platinum.  To date, Ric has released 20 singles, and a 12 song singing album.  His 12 spoken word songs will be released soon on an album.  For multiple months Ric had singles on four charts at the same time, Traditional Country, Regular Country, Spoken Word Songs and Gospel.  Four charts simultaneously is unheard of.  He has seven Platinum singles, received a Global Music Award for his word song “Steppin’ Stones,” and on June 1, 2025 was inducted into the International Independent Recording Artists Hall of Fame.  
The tornado continues to spin in Ric’s head; there is a lot more music in his heart.  Ric’s songs are real life as he lived it.  Almost everyone has experienced something similar, that’s why his music strikes a nerve with so many fans.  His award winning producer, Doc Holiday, continues to draw the music out of him so we can all savor Ric’s pure country lyrics for a long time to come.
